            "value": "Traditional Japanese outdoor footwear is based upon a wooden sandal on blocks to raise it from the ground. They are still widely worn today. Sandals (geta) are worn with toe-socks, tabi, and are made in a variety of styles, ranging from 5 to 15 cms in height. Those worn by the Emperor and members of the imperial court as part of ceremonial attire are up to 30 cms high, and made of beautifully carved and lacquered wood."
