The object was made by adults in accompany of young warrior perhaps for training purposes. There are two versions, the larger bow, quivers and smaller versions meant for younger members of community. Though it is believed that the smaller versions was used for hunting small game such as rabbit and birds, though the truth is that they were meant for training young warriors for target, precision and accuracy. This was in readiness as future defenders of the community against external intrusion."

Though its usage in war time has diminished, it is still used within pastoral communities to secure their cattle against predators such as lions and leopards. Also, arrows are still used by private security to guard business and residential premises. The modern arrow and bows have revolved into sophisticated weapons such as missiles and cross bows that have maximum precision and accuracy.",
        "option2": "Research by 'Rethinking Relationships' project researcher, Ken Simiyu: Traditionally, the arrows were made from metallic material which was manufactured by speciality blacksmith. The bows made by and used by adults in the company of young boys. The bow and arrow are used in such a way that the arrow is inserted inside the bow, pulled and released towards a target. For carrying, the bow is strung on the shoulder with the quiver which contains several arrows.  In most cases, broken bows and arrows are replaced because little repairs could be done to such damage. Also, worn out bow strings are easily replaced with new ones."
