bell

Koor (camel) belll. Flattened cone shape, hand carved with wooden clapper. Hole runs through the bell on the top.

When the animal moves the bell sounds as the wooden clapper rattles inside the wooden cone. The camels have bells tied around their necks so their herders can keep track of their whereabouts. Camels are often set free during the day, to find their food in the desert. The herders find them each morning and evening for milking.
