        "use": "This mould could be used to make snowy mooncake, invented in Hong Kong in the 1930s due to economic reasons and market demands. Snowy mooncake using a mould like this does not need to be frozen, and has a texture like traditional mochi. But a new snowy mooncake (non-vegan) invented by a Hong Kong bakery in the late 1980s, doesn't use moulds like this, and these must be frozen.",

        "option1": "There are no special meanings to the patterns, they are decorative.",
        "option2": "Traditional mooncakes used to be made with lard, but snowy mooncakes used vegetable oil, making it the only vegetarian option. The filing is mostly lotus seed paste, green bean paste, or red bean paste.  Mould is sold by Yue Hwa Chinese Productions. One of the few department stores selling Chinese goods in Hong Kong between the late 1950s and the early 1980s, when China opened to trade. The company is now a regular department store in Hong Kong, but most of its products are made in China."
