        "option2": "Our taxidermy specimen of a rabbit is a model that has been made with the real skin and fur of a rabbit. Years ago animals were killed for display in a museum but these days many animals are protected and the museum uses animals that have died naturally or most likely have been killed in a road collision.   The dead animal is stored in a freezer until the time it is prepared by a taxidermist. After defrosting, the skin is carefully removed, cleaned and treated to stop it from rotting. This skin has now become leather. The inside of the animal, the flesh, organs and bones are not needed so they are incinerated or buried. The claws and teeth are kept because once they are cleaned they will not rot away. The taxidermist makes a frame out of wire for the model; to give it support and to make the posture of the model lifelike.  This metal frame replaces the skeleton. The clean skin is now fitted over the skeleton frame and some sort of stuffing, soft material or foam plastic, is fitted under the skin to replace the muscle and flesh.  Now for the eyes! Real eyes are not used because they would be the first part of the dead animal to rot and they can\u2019t be preserved; so the eyes are made of glass or plastic. The teeth are real but the tongue is made of plaster or plastic",
