A fan made from Welsh slate on a scrolled upright base engraved with Prince of Wales feathers, national emblems and inscription. The fan is formed from pointed shards of slate. It sits on an oval wooden plinth, and may have once had a glass dome. The model is housed in a rectangular wooden case, lined in blue velvet with fitted interior. Inscribed brass plaque and key plate on front opening door.
Presented to His Majesty King Edward VII by the Ffestiniog Quarrymen, July 9th 1907.
