            "value": "Tambourine, frame drum. Circular wooden shell painted black on the outside with white lateral V-shaped streaks, and red inside. The skin is nailed around the outside of the upper rim with dome-headed brass tacks and cut to a straight edge immediately beneath. The upper surface of the membrane is painted white, although the original colour is still visible between the brush strokes. Nine apertures are cut into the frame alternating between an upper and a lower level. They have straight parallel upper and lower edges and curved ends. Each houses a vertical metal pin threaded through a pair of disc-shaped galvanised iron jingles."
