The table and the top of the head edged with an ivory border inlaid with black circumpuncts. Seventeen curved moveable metal frets are tied to the integral, slightly covex fingerboard.  Bone string guide and nut. Five playing strings are pegged from the head. Two cik\u0101r\u012b strings are pegged from side of neck, with triangular bone posts serving as nuts.  The hooked bone end-pin projects from a triangular section of wood that is nailed to the base of the gourd. Possibly made in Bengal."
