            "value": "The hollowed carved body is waisted above. The skin membrane is attached by adhesives. The massive neck carries twelve pegs at the side and many on the face. Pegbox carries four lateral pegs with mushroom tops, and two on the face. Curved bridge and a flat tail-piece with 14 holes. Fluted carving on body. Dog tooth carving on neck and pegbox. Rose on the face of the pegbox. Many pegs and most of strings missing. Membrane damaged."

            "value": "S\u0101ra\u1e45g\u012b, fiddle.  The hollow body, neck and peg-box are carved from a single piece of wood. The top and the back edges of the peg-box of are separate pieces of wood, probably a repair. There is fluted carving on the body, and dog-tooth carving on the neck and pegbox. The front of the pegbox is carved with a scalloped opening (mahrab), and a small moveable petal plate inset with eight coloured glass beads is attached near the top by a nail. The skin soundtable has a large soundhole at the top of the waisted cavity. There were originally fourteen lateral pegs for sympathetic strings at the side of the neck, two are now missing. A diagonal line of fourteen holes bushed with bone for these strings runs down the front of the neck. There are five frontal pegs with rounded heads for sympathetic strings set in a ledge projecting from the front of the neck, originally there were ten. Three small bone posts forming individual nuts for these strings survive.  The peg-box has two (originally four) large pegs with mushroom tops for the bowed gut strings of which one complete one remains, and two pegs for wire sympathetic strings.  The bone bridge stands on a leather strap that protects the soundtable from the pressure generated by the tension of the strings.There are grooves in the top of the bridge for the bowed strings and holes below for the sympathetic strings to pass through. Integral inferior string-holder. Many of the sympathetic strings are broken."
