            "value": "Toy swanee whistle, duct flute. Bamboo pipe stopped by a node at the distal end. The proximal end cut at an angle to form a beak with a wooden block inserted. The block and the distal face are painted pink. The mouth is formed by to cuts in the top surface, the upper perpendicular, the lower oblique. A hole at the centre of the distal face has a straight, narrow rattan stem inserted, which is connected to a plunger inside the pipe."

            "value": "This whistle was collected by Jack Body in Java in 1977. He bought it from a street seller in the town of Yogyakarta for 30 rupiah. Jack Body is a New Zealand based composer with a particular interest in the music of Indonesia. Many of his works use Western instruments to imitate the sounds of the Indonesian music that he has heard on visits to the country."
