            "value": "End-blown flute: local (Quecha) name jantarka. Bought from Winito Garcia, Calcha, prov. Nor Chichas, dept. Potosi, Bolivia on 3 March 1987, made c. 1970, price 6 mil pesos. Collected 3rd March 1987 from the vendor by Henry Stobart, 53 Church Road, Hanwell, London W7 3BD. Lozenge shaped instrument of churki wood, open at both ends. Length overall: 48.9 cm. An open ended two-note end-blown flute played by women in conjunction with saripalka and malichu pinkillos in the Calcha area from Fiesta de los Reyes (Epiphany) to Carnival (Shrove Tuesday). It is played panpipe style, by blowing across the top (wider end uppermost); the second finger of the right hand is used to stop or unstop the lower end and thus change the pitch."
