            "value": "NYCKELHARPA. Acquired: Swedish; 19th century. The body is roughly of shoe-shape, although symmetrical and much elongated. The back, sides, neck and pegbox are made from one piece of wood. Seven pegs in pegbox, set from back to front. 1 gut melody string, 1 light gut drone (stopped by three tangents), 1 heavy gut drone, 1 heavy overspun drone, 3 wire strings all of which pass over the bridge. 6 pegs are set into the neck and carry wire strings, of these 2 pass over the bridge, while the remaining 4 go underneath. 19 tangents set along the neck without a protective box. The touches are arranged into a curve following the general shape of the instrument three of the touches are lower than the rest. Three keys are fitted with two tangents, so that they stop the lightest of the drones as well as the melody string. The drone tangents are set into discs pierced by three holes so that there are three possible variations in the tuning. Flat bridge. The tail-piece is semi-elliptical extending by a long stalk over the end of the instrument, where it is tied by a gut to a projection shaped like the prow of a boat. Two oval sound-holes low on the belly, one heart-shaped sound-hole behind the tangents. A thong loop is attached to the neck and the 'prow'.             "value": "Nyckelharpa, fiddle. The oblong body has sloping shoulders and a shallow waist. The body, neck and pegbox are carved from one piece of wood. The pine table is pierced by two oval sound holes which flank the tailpiece and there is a third heart-shaped soundhole under the tangent box.The bridge is flat and the tailpiece extends over the end of the instrument, where it is tied by a gut thread to a bar projecting from the base. A thong loop is attached to the neck and the bar.  Seven bowed strings tuned from the peg-box comprise one gut melody string, one light gut drone string which is stopped by three tangents, one heavy gut drone string, one heavy overspun drone string and three wire strings.
