Clapper: bulging, protruding below base, hooked on interior wine loop. Brass? Label: 'PRESENTED \/ LADY EDITH \/ M. BRADFORD'. India. o.l. 265 mm o.w. 102 mm."

            "value": "Ghanti, priest's handbell, of copper alloy. The body is of circular cross-section, and is encirled by a series of ridges near the crown. There are two sets of three inscribed lines lower down and one inscribed line is just above the rim, all around the circumference about the principle axis. The handle has five vertical oblate spheroids separated by rings. It is surmounted by rectangular platform supporting a lion, a symbol of the goddess Durga.  The iron clapper is hooked onto an interior loop."
