The player can produce a scale by overblowing the instrument's natural harmonic series and by using various fingering combinations. Until the early 20th century in England, one-man bands for Morris dancing used a tabor pipe, fingered by the right hand, together with a snare drum struck by a beater held in the left hand.The tabor pipe is almost always paired with a snare drum to form a one player ensemble."
