            "value": "Ojibwa Moose call (local name ojumi? oguni?). A sheet of birchbark bent into a straight cone of oval cross-section, with a pattern of foliage scraped on the outer surface. The sides of the sheet are stitched to each other with a length of a variety of grass; the same material secures an extra strip of birchbark to the widest end of the cone. Length: 410 mm, overall width of blown end: 33 mm, overall width of bell: 132 mm. Made by an Ojibwa Canadian Indian, Ontario, Canada in 1988."

            "value": "The Ojibwa, Canada's largest indigenous people, use birch bark megaphones as moose lures. The shape of the cone is designed to amplify the voice in such a way that the hunter can imitate the soft whining call of the cow to attract bulls during the mating season. Birch bark is a versatile material, and other uses for it in Ojibwa culture include canoes and sacred scrolls."
