            "value": "Today, the great Highland bagpipe is played all over the world. It has a conical chanter on which the melody is played, with a bass and two tenor drones.  An instrument that is usually played out of doors, the great Highland bagpipe has been associated with military music since the 16th century or earlier. It was the duty of the piper to play the soldiers into battle, and to continue during the fighting. The musical form of a pibroch consists of a theme and variations.  Its invention \nis attributed to a member of the MacCrimmon family, pipers to the chief of the Clan MacLeod."

            "value": "P\u00ecob mh\u00f3r or Great Highland bagpipe. The wooden conical chanter has seven finger holes and one thumbhole. It  terminates in an ivory sole.  There are two tenor drones and one bass drone, the tenor drones are in two joints, the bass drone in three. All three drones have combed decoration. There are nickel silver ferrules at the bell rims of the drones, at the lower sockets of their top joints and at the socket of the middle joint of the bass drone. There is a bone ferrule on the stock of one tenor drone and the stock of the blowpipe. The leather bag, probably of sheep skin, is covered in brushed cotton in a faded orange and black tartan. The bag has separate stocks for each of the pipes. The chanter is stamped: 'HENDERSON\/GLASGOW'."
