            "value": "Unfretted trough zither, nanga. Acquired: Haya people, N.W. Tanzania. Carved from a solid piece of dark-coloured wood, the instrument consists of a long narrow trough with wider shoulders at each end, giving a tibia silhouette. There is a short handle terminating in a round knob. The shoulders at each end of the trough are pierced by 6 holes, and a single length of heavy cord is passed between them and tied round the handle."
