Taxidermy case of adult male and adult female Little Bittern. According to Edward Hart, writing on 23 April 1927, 'Left (no 1): adult male, April 22nd 1878. Shot by me at Gasgoine Meadow, Christchurch; right (no 2): adult female, May 1869. Shot by me at Parley Court, Nr Christchurch. Sexes differ; summer and winter plumage the same. Mounted by me'.
