Taxidermy case of two adult male, one adult female and one pied variety male Water Rail. According to Edward Hart, writing on 6 May 1927, 'Left (no 1): adult male, 1868; (no 2): pied variety, male, January 16th 1882; (no 3): adult female, 1868; (no 4): adult male, 1868. Shot by me on the River Avon and at Tuckton Corner, River Stour, Christchurch. Sexes differ; summer and winter plumage differ. Mounted by me'.
