Gordon indicates that he had sold a large number of terracottas to the BM and to the Indian section of the Victoria and Albert Museum, and that these were 'the best of the residue'. He adds that they 'cover a fair number of both types and sites'. No further indication of the nature of the figures. The terracottas nn15837-nn15850, nn3707.1-nn3707.33 and nn17487 to nn17503 equate to 7.2.52\/1 -7.2.52\/37 and 24.4.53\/1 - 24.4.53\/28. 65 objects from Gordon in two lots and 62 nns with 3 not accounted for.
