The six characters on the tablet read:  \u589e\u798f\u8ca1\u795e\u4e4b\u4f4d \u2018 Zengfu Chaishen zhi wei\u2019, which means \u2018Shrine of Zengfu Chaishen, God of Wealth\u2019.  He is one of the Taoist deities, who was believed when living to have been a civil official in the Northern Wei Dynasty (A.D. 368-534), with the original name \u2018Li Gui-Zu\u2019 (in Chinese: \u674e\u8a6d\u7956). The inscription on the other side reads \u8d64\u5e1d\u771f\u541b\u4e4b\u795e\u4f4d \u2018chi di zhen jun zhi shen wei \u2019, which means \u2018Shrine of Chidi Zhenjun, God of Fire\u2019.
