One one side the colour of the 4 patterned bands is faded. At the other end the 2 patterned bands are still dark in colour.  They are separated by 2 bands of fringing. One consists of 3 short bands of fine fringing in a row. The strips are secured through the weave are cut finely to create a thick fringe. The other band of fringing consists of 3 narrower strips, again secured through the weave. On longer end has its full width. This is cut into finer strips to pass through the back of the textile. On returning to the front it has been cut even finer. The strands have been braided at this end. The end of the warp at either end has been tied with a length of string, and is left as an additional fringe."
