This mantra protects from 8 classes of Lha-sin spirits. Each lobe of the form that encloses the mantra is marked with the syllable \u2018Hun\u2019 and is separated from its neighbours by a vajra sceptre.\n\nAlong the inner ring  runs the mantra, \u201cOm Vajra Kila Kilaya Svaha Biga na pa Hugn Phat\u201d, the same as that which is printed in the centre. Then follows a text in Tibetan  which translates to, \u201cProtect thoroughly the bearer of this from harm by  divine beings and  by the Nagas \u2026 bTsan, gNyan and other  spirits\u201d.\n\nThe outer ring also contains texts in Tibetan beseeching protection from a variety of harmful spirits.\n\nThe rim of the protective mantra wheel is flaming all around, perhaps to indicate purification and to ward off potentially harmful spirits.",
