The decoration consists of coloured bands, bands containing tapestry-woven stepped triangular motifs, and bands with diamond\/lattice pattern woven using supplementary weft. The decoration (in black, white, red, green and yellow)divides the textile into a centre panel and  borders along the shorter sides. The borders contain a centre band with a black and white diamond\/lattice pattern. This is framed by 2 sets of narrow black and red bands, and a wider and a narrower black band on a white ground. The pattern on the panel contains a centre diamond\/lattice patterned band in yellow and black  with the  sequence of bands either side mirroring each other. Next to the centre band are 2 red bands outlined by black  either side of a narrow black band on a white ground. Then follow a wide, 2 narrow and another wide black band. The white band decorated with 2 rows of black inward facing stepped triangular motifs is framed by an olive green band which is outlined in black. Toward the border is another wider followed by a narrower black band."
