Rope missing. The lower flap is black in the upper part and white below, with two tachibana mon and a gilded horizontal strap through which a strap would pass, all with a gold border around the edge. The reverse is covered in cloth. The upper flap is of white leather with three tachibana crests (mon) in black and an aperture for a strap to go through. Gold border. Reverse of blackened leather. A black lacquered wooden bar along the lower edge. Two flaps together as worn on horse:350h x 420w.",
