About this event

Felting is one of the oldest methods of making fabric and can be used for anything from tents and rugs to clothing and ornaments. There are fantastic examples of felting in the Horniman’s collections from many different countries, showing how popular it is around the world.

In this workshop, you will be able to create flat or three dimensional items. You will learn how to needle felt using fleece from the Horniman’s resident alpacas, Poppy and Peep, or merino wool.

Samples made in this workshop can be contributed to the Studio Archive, to become part of the Stages of Making exhibition.
