Support the Horniman Museum and Gardens
The Horniman Museum and Gardens is a charity and, although we receive core funding from the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, we are incredibly grateful for the additional support we receive from our visitors. Voluntary income allows us to grow as an institution, to care for our collections and Gardens, and most importantly, to stay true to our founder's vision - to be a free museum.
You can also help the Horniman in other ways.
-
As a gift, you can buy a tree, picnic bench and more in the Gardens

Donating Objects
We are very grateful to those who have donated items to the Horniman Museum to add to our collections. If you are thinking of donating an item, please speak to the Development team first. We are required to ensure that any donation is in line with our acquisition policy and we will need to discuss with our curators how your item might fit into our collection.
It is possible we will be unable to accept your donation – however, we will always try to suggest an alternative recipient. Because of this, and because we will need to make sure that we can contact you in future about the item, and give you a proper, formal receipt for it, we ask you to please not send us any donations of objects by post or courier.
