We want you to enjoy your visit to the Horniman. Please wear a mask or face covering unless you have a good reason not to (children under 11 are exempt).
Following the latest government guidance, we are preparing to close the Museum and Butterfly House from Wednesday 16 December.
Unfortunately, this means that all visits booked for the Museum, including the Permian Monsters exhibition and Aquarium, as well as the Butterfly House, are now cancelled.
Where applicable we are now in the process of refunding all tickets booked for our attractions. This should be completed in the next two weeks.
Whilst the Museum is closed we hope you’ll continue to visit us online and across our social media channels where we’ll be sharing stories and updates, as well as news about our plans for reopening.
The Gardens remain open, including the Café and kiosks and Gardens toilets, but please continue to follow social distancing and the latest safety advice. The Horniman Market is open on Sundays, but will be closed on 27 December and 3 January.
The Horniman is a charity and every day that the Museum is closed means that we lose vital income that is needed to help care for our animal residents, and to continue to maintain our Gardens. We would be very grateful if you would consider making a donation to the Horniman.
