Bursary Scheme

Our bursary scheme has been generously donated by a benefactor to fund Learning Sessions for those schools for whom the cost may be prohibitive.

Our bursary scheme has been generously donated by a benefactor to fund Learning Sessions for those schools for whom the cost may be prohibitive.

Schools can apply for funding to cover the cost of up to three in-museum or outreach sessions or one virtual session for up to three classes.

Funding is limited so if you would like to apply for this academic year 2020/21 please don’t delay applying.

Please do check that you meet both the criteria below before submitting the application, contact us if you would like to know when your school last visited for taught learning sessions.

Criteria

  • Primary, Secondary and SEND schools with over 30% of its current pupils eligible for free school meals. 

and

  • Who have not benefitted from a charged or bursary funded taught session in the previous academic year (September 2019 to July 2020).

We also offer a bursary for Alternative Provision (e.g. PRUs), please contact schools@horniman.ac.uk to discuss.
