Members and Benefactors can enjoy an exclusive tour around the Horniman Conservation Laboratory.
From a corpulent walrus to a hummingbird’s egg, the Horniman’s incredible collections are expertly looked after when on display, in storage or in transit. Get an exclusive insight into the care and repair of our objects with Conservators Emma and Charlotte, and discover different methods used to reveal hidden information.
Booking information
- Members and Benefactors exclusive event. Please bring your membership card with you on the day so that we can check you off the list.
- The tour will start at 11am and run for about 45 mins to an hour. We will meet in the main entrance of the Museum at 10.45am to deposit bags and coats in the lockers.
- Tickets must be purchased on our website, over the phone or at our ticket desk in advance.
- If you are unable to make the event, please advise us in advance.
- Please also let us know if you have any additional requirements ahead of time.
