Wild Champagne Making and Tasting Workshop with Barney Pau
In this immersive fermentation workshop, food artist and writer Barney Pau will introduce you to how food can be an artistic medium, and the ways in which it can inspire creativity with a presentation of his fermentation-based art practice. Together with one of the Horniman’s gardeners, we will take a tour of the gardens to see the grounds, and a visit to the composting site, which will open a discussion about how fermentation and composting can be used as creative social metaphors. Together, we’ll then return to the Gardens nursery to sample some of Barney’s foraged and zero waste fermented champagnes, and make your own to take home.
Please bring your own 1litre capacity glass jar with lid so that you can take your champagne home with you!
