Hassan Arero

Biography

Dr Hassan Arero, anthropologist and curator, was the Keeper of Anthropology at the Horniman museum from 2002-2007. After leaving the Horniman he became the curator of the East African collections at the British Museum before taking up the post of Director of Museums, Sites and Monuments for The National Museums of Kenya. He was appointed Cabinet Secretary (Minister) for Sports, Culture and the Arts in the Kenyan government in May 2013.
