Tamamura, Kouzaburo

Biography

Early Japanese photographer and one of the originators of "Yokohama Shashin" tourist photos. He opened a photography shop in Asakusa, Tokyo in 1874. Moved to Benten Street in Yokohama in 1883 and opened a studio. He sold souvenir photo albums of Japan to overseas customers and took portraits in his studio.
