Baboo the Unusual Bee – Drag Storytelling and Craft
Join author Lliana Bird, award-winning illustrator Aysha Tengiz and glamorous drag queen extraordinaire Glitzy Von Jagger for a fun packed storytime and craft event.
Wriggling arms and twinkling toes will find it hard not to start bopping as your little ones are treated to storytelling with Glitzy Von Jagger and Lliana Bird. Following this jolly storytelling session children will be invited to decorate a wooden flower with all the colours of the rainbow with award-winning illustrator Aysha Tengiz, the perfect present for you to give your very best friend.
This picture book celebration of dance friendship, individuality and nature will be sure to delight and inspire your little ones – we can’t wait to see you there.
Lliana Bird
Lliana Bird is a debut picture book author, radio DJ, presenter, co-founder of Choose Love and Help for Refugees AND mother of two children.
Aysha Tengiz
Aysha Tengiz is an award-winning London-based illustrator, she has worked for clients including It’s Nice That, Tatty Divine, Google and Stella McCartney.
Glitzy Von Jagger
Glitzy Von Jagger is the epitome of glamour and has worked with Disney, Snatch Drag Idol, and BBC Radio. She is an expert storyteller and performer.

- Child tickets include one free adult attendee.
- Please arrive at the Pavilion five minutes before the event begins.
- Parents and carers, you will need to stay with your child while they take part.
- Craft materials will be supplied.
- Tickets do not include a copy of the Baboo the Unusual Bee book but this can be purchased at the event with author’s signature or in the Horniman Museum Gift Shop.
