Carved wooden hand mangle consisting of a flat board with a handle at one end in the shape of an animal. Dated 1795 in carving on the side. The date 1878 painted on next to the carving. Heavily carved on the upper surface with sa chain motif along both edges and what appears to be heavily stylised initials at the centre. The date 1795 is carved again in one corner. On the handle, the word 'Christian' appears, apparently on applied paper. The number 12 and initials KK also painted on one side of the handle. On the other side of the handle are painted the initials KPDK and the date 1878.
