Carved and painted wooden mask of a lion with jaws open and leather tongue protruding; teeth are fairly regular, with no canines indicated. Mane carved deeply above the large eyes. A tall curvlinear crest above the brow. Left ear of a separate piece of wood attached by means of a peg. Evidence that at one time a further part of the costume was fixed around the circumference of the main aperture at the back. Right ear missing. Tied on blue-green label reads:' LION (USED IN Epics).
