Wooden barkcloth beater. It has carved shallow ridges on three of the four sides of the beater, and some cracks through the handle. 'TAHITI' has been written in white paint on the handle. There are three labels stuck on the object, one with its number (1.64), and the other two saying 'Fiji' on one, and 'Tahiti, S. E. Pacific' on the other.
