Rough, painted rectangular wooden box for Ganjifa playing cards. A groove inside two sides near the top for the lid to slide in and out. The box is painted on each side with a central stylised flower motif and border patterns in red, yellow and white on a black ground. The underside is unpainted and has been covered with layers of textile and newspaper.
