
Carved stone stele of a standing figure of Guanyin, Avalokiteshvara, Bodhisattva of Compassion. Guanyin is depicted with head facing forward, serene smile, downcast eyes and head aureole on back. He is crowned and bejewelled and wears a draped robe with exposed bare chest and belly. His right hand is raised holding a block, his left hand is dropped holding a water flask. The figure rests on a carved wooden squared stand with four low feet.
