Flute in D, dark wood body, silver keys and mounts, cork lapped tenons. Boehm's system of 1832 with the following modifications: 1. Boehm's open G sharp replaced by Dorus (closed) key with ring for third finger of left hand. 2. Addition of second shake (trill) key. 3. Rearrangement of long rod-axles and cross touches for right hand. Needle springs used only for Dorus G Sharp key. Head joint appears not to be original. Movable cork-faced stopper. Metal lined joints. Head joint has two cracks, each about three cm from socket. Loose cork lapping.
