Bassoon, maple, brass mounts. Six brass keys, round or spatulate, mounted in saddles, including F sharp and E flat. Long joint keys mounted on flat platform. Overall length is 124.0 cm. Length of wing and butt is 90.6 cm. Wing has been repaired at crook socket and is slightly damaged at the other end. Bell is cracked. Crook has been shortened to take single reed clarinet-type mouthpiece. Mouthpiece is cracked. Some pitting on cover-plate of E flat key. Stamped on all four joints: Goulding & Co. London. Stamped on clarinet type mouthpiece: Jas. Wood & Sons.
