The Horniman Museum will be closed from 24-26 December. The Horniman Gardens will be closed 25 December only.
Oboe, dark brown wood, German silver keys and mounts, metal lined joints. Triébert's thumb-plate action. Two non-automatic octave keys. Spectacle key for right hand. Similar to Triébert's système 5, with low B flat. Two shake (trill) keys. Twin holes for III. Sounding length (length overall) is 58.4 cm. Wood is faded on face by exposure to light. Stamped: Triébert Paris (Tower mark, Breveté).
