Clarinet in A, dark brown wood with bleaching on face, German silver mounts. Fourteen German silver keys, flat (two shallow-cupped), round, mounted in turned blocks and ring, three mounted in saddles and two mounted on pillars. F/C key. Spectacle key for B flat/F. Finger holes two and four bushed. Upper section has been extended and the barrel is not original. Barrel with tenon fitting for mouthpiece. Sounding length (length without mouthpiece) is 63.6 cm.
