

Bass horn, two straight tubes in a short butt, long looped brass crook largely covered with a fabric binding. Three keys. Ivory bushed finger holes. Two brass stays at the upper end of the tubes. Two brass ferrules on butt and another at crook socket. Bulbous bell with narrow brass rim. Ornate brass bands at middle of tubes and below bell. Lacks mouthpiece. A brass label attached by a chain reads: I. Cecconi, Portsmouth. Illegible inscription on bell rim.
