Tenor trombone in B flat, silver plated brass. Plating has been removed to a considerable extent and some parts may never have been plated. Contemporary silver plated brass mouthpiece. Slide very loose. Stamped on bell and mouthpiece socket: Besson & Co. 198 Euston Road London. Marked: Prototype; and: Class A, with a star. Extensive floral decoration engraved on bell. Numbered 5228 in three places.
