Oboe, boxwood, ivory mounts, stepped bell. Eleven brass keys, round, nearly flat, mounted variously in turned rings and blocks, saddles and pillars. Octave key, duplicate touch-plates for B flat and F, duplicated D sharp and low B natural. Twin holes for third finger only; no tuning holes. Sounding length (length overall) is 55.6 cm. Recent chip from octave key guide ring. Stamped: C. Golde Dresden (lyre and star mark).
