A sleeveless working jacket worn by men and women. It is made of natural-coloured bast fibre. It has two rectangular pieces of tabby woven textile (both warp and weft paired). It has a slit opening formed by the selvedges. The rest of the centre front and back is sewn edge to edge and embroidered with sections of red and black zig zag embroidery. The hem has a type of blanket stitch, also in red and black, with regularly spaced 'V' shapes on the top edge.
It has a large hole at the left shoulder and is much stained.
