A boy's cotton loincloth. The weaving of the textile is complete, but some of the continuous warp remains uncut. The cloth is mainly blue/black and woven in warp faced tabby weave. It has one red broad central stripe and one very fine outer one, beside each selvedge. The central stripe is flanked by a narrow white dotted stripe formed by a single warp end and two narrow yellow and red stripes. At the beginning of each warp end is a narrow band of red and yellow twining in a zig zagpattern worked in stranded cotton.
