textile (function unknown)

Long, rectangular piece of cotton embroidered textile, worked in multi-coloured synthetic (?) yarns. The patterning comprises a row of all-over embroidery, with three large heart-shaped motifs predominating by virtue of the coloured threads used: pink, white, red, brown, and dark blue. These are separated by two flower motifs, which have pink centres and four petals in two tones of brown. The ground is filled with other shaped motifs, with purple and yellow used as additional colours.
