Cast copper alloy figure, perhaps representing the Fifth Dali Lama. He sits on a lotus throne and holds a lotus in his right hand. His right hand reaches to the ground in the bhumisparsha mudra whilst his left lays in his lap in the avakasha mudra. The figure is a finely cast piece and perhaps dates from the eighteenth century or before.
Could this be the Fifth Dali Lama? Usually he has a moustache and a purbu tucked into his garment. It is a finely cast piece, perhaps eighteenth century or older.
